I wanted a soda...

Day 2 & 3 - On day 2 all I wanted was a Coke! I watched everyone at my work come in, buy their lunches, pick up their sodas and leave. I desperately wanted one, but didn't. I grabbed a banana (one of the allowed fruits) instead and that curbed my sweet craving. By the time I got home it was after 5:30 and I cooked chicken, which I envisioned would taste and look way better than it actually was. Just using garlic, butter & lemon juice wasn't enough, so I added balsamic vinegar and that made it edible. To combat my craving of drinking something I tried the seltzer water I bought...YUCK! I even tried adding some lemon juice to make it better, but that just didn't work. I drank 80oz of water. On day 3, today, I weighed myself and am down 4lbs. It made today's goals more bearable. Breakfast of scrambled eggs & sausage, lunch a salad with delicious 21DSD dressing & fajita chicken/peppers/cheese/sour cream and dinner leftover chicken with zucchini/mushrooms/carrots/artichoke hearts. Snacking on almonds while I watch some TV. Let's bring on day 4!

The Start of it ALL

DAY 1 - As always today was a day that I needed to be a Mom first, so that consisted of packing lunches, which partly makes me want to eat that cookie I was putting in their lunch and partly didn't after I stepped on the scale this morning. I wasn't able to eat until I got to work, but I am lucky to have a job where I prep food, so I can eat. I grabbed a green tipped banana while I prepped all the salads and later in the morning was able to scramble 2 eggs for some protein. I have been sharing my new journey with others. I know this will keep me accountable and it's always nice to pass on the information. For lunch I was able to have some ham rolled up with cream cheese and cut up cucumbers in the the middle. They were delicious and left me feeling full. I drank 32 oz of water just while at work and am already finishing another 24 oz tonight. I am thinking some tea might be good before bed since last night was a horrible nights sleep (laid in bed for a half hour awake, then woke every hour after that until 7am). Tonight we had taco salad with a Paleo dressing made with coconut milk (from a can), crushed tomatoes and seasoning mix. I added lemon because I like that tartness. My salad had some cheese, carrots, meat, avocado, lettuce and dressing. It was good and I am feeling full. Tonight will be early bed because I am SO tired.
